How To Turn Off Shipping On Facebook Marketplace When Selling
To sell items on Facebook Marketplace, turn off the shipping option when creating your listing. When you get to the delivery method section during the listing setup process, toggle the switch to “Local Pickup Only.”
Facebook Marketplace allows sellers to offer items for local pickup or with shipping options.
If you only want to transact in-person for local sales, you can disable shipping on your Marketplace listings. Here is how to turn off shipping:
Step 1: Access Your Seller Dashboard
- Go to the Facebook Marketplace page and click on the “Sell” button. This will open up the Seller Dashboard.
- Alternatively, you can go directly to the Seller Dashboard by clicking on your profile picture in the top right and selecting “Marketplace” and then “Selling Tools.”
Step 2: Create a New Listing
- From the Seller Dashboard, click on the “+ Add Listing” button to create a new Marketplace listing.
Step 3: Select “Local Pickup Only”
- Toggle off Offer Delivery and toggle on“Local Pickup Only.”
- The listing will now only show the option for buyers to pick up locally.
Step 4: Complete Listing Details
- Finish editing the title, description, price, photos, category, etc.
- The shipping section will remain off.
Step 5: Review and Publish
- When you are done, click “Review” to verify all the listing details.
- Then Check the” Marketplace” and click “Publish” to post your listing to Marketplace without the shipping option.
And that’s it! Your Marketplace listing is now live for local pickup only. Repeat the same process for any other listings you create.
How To Turn Off Shipping For An Existing Product On Facebook Marketplace
Here are the steps to turn off shipping for an existing product listing on Facebook Marketplace:
- Open the “Facebook app” and go to your “Marketplace listings“.
- Tap on the “three dots” next to the product listing you want to edit.
- Tap on “Edit Listing” from the menu.
- In the listing edit screen, scroll down and tap on “Delivery Method” to toggle the switch off. This disables shipping.
- Tap on “Local Pickup Pickup” to enable local pickup.
- At the top of the screen, tap on “Save” to update the listing details.
- The listing is now updated to remove the shipping option and only allow for local pickup.
- Repeat these steps for any other existing listings you want to update to remove shipping and switch to pickup only.
- The changed delivery options will now be reflected on your listings for buyers.
